...then they stayed down

It’s hard to talk about advancements in space faring without addressing a common argument:

Wouldn’t the money be better spent on issues affecting people today here on Earth?

I don’t think we’ve solved that one yet.

The answer is yes. And no.

Everything we do and everything that exists is all connected. To direct our attention to one issue is to direct our attention to another.

I’m sure you’ve heard the quote, “Shoot for the moon. Even if miss, you’ll land among the stars.”

The only reason I bring it up is because in our efforts to travel into space we’ve had to invent new tools and techniques to survive out there. Turns out there’s no reason we can’t use those tools to improve life on Earth.
